~ ~ ~ Notes from Paper Lane: a GNE weblog |
Heehee I love Outis’ impression of me (so much that I made it my desktop background, actually), so I thought I’d do one of him:
Well, Desi has upped the ante quite considerably with his excellent rendering of Pixel.
I did ask for ideas for the next picture I should draw and the first volunteer was… Desi! So, for your amusement and edification, please see this little sketch:
(Yes, he looks like a boomerang).
In keeping with Outis’ 30 second sketch, I have proceeded to create a 10 second sketch. How’s that for competition? =D
The following is a bitmap (in JPEG format, of course) of what I think Pixel A. Shun looks like:
The San Francisco Bay area GNEr’s get together simply must be held here! I already bought my dress for it. Capo, ER, want to try to put together a party?
Let us now acknowledge the presence (oooh, very John Edward) of Eric’s new daughter. We don’t have a name for her yet, but either way, congratulations to you and your wife, Eric (I hope she’s your wife =P), and we hope she grows up to be a nice young lady :)
Now onto smaller news. This week we got an Away status on the GNE chat. Just recently Stewart revealed that there would be several additions in the next six (ish) weeks. Is this the beginning of the New GNE?
Apparently, it is. I hope they add items and a basic map first, or else the new players will just think this is a $20 (AU$40 for me) chatroom.
I present the first in what may turn out to be a series of pictures for your amusement. I have decided to spend 30 seconds drawing a black and white representation of what i think a character looks like.
First up is Angel of the Abyss
Let me know if you have any requests…
Has anyone noticed there is a new issue of Ludus out?
Selva, when did you sneak this up??
It’s not like me to lose my rag - not online, anyway. There is, however, one thing that has been anoying the beJebus out of me these last few weeks…
I’ve been logging onto the chat quite regularly, and I check every evening to see whether other players are logged on. Unfortunately, sometimes what can appear to be a populated chat-room turns out to be merely a panoply of statues.
Maybe I have developed a hair-trigger temper, but I find it really annoying when there are people logged in to chat but not participating. You’re asking for it, you crazy tempters of statue-defacers, you! :)
Fansites!
How can there be fansites without a game? Well, we have the community. And a reason for the developers to hurry the game along.
I’ve heard rumors that Puckish Pitstop is coming back. Ludus Perpetuus is printing a new issue as we speak.
And now, I present to all you bobbles, Bobbleton.net! Come take a look.
I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but GNE chat seems to be back up on gameneverending.com. Just log in and launch it… and come soon, it’s lonely in there.
