Pssst, an interesting looking new feature on Eric’s blog…
Niff. Tea. Makes me wish we were allowed more friends!
That’s pretty spiffy. Strange thing, though, in Mozilla, it works on Eric’s site, but nowhere else. In IE it works anywhere.
Maybe he has server side browser detection generate slightly different code or something… I use IE so I would’ve copied and pasted the IE version…
You crazy kids! It’s not quite finished yet.
But… There is no server side detection going on, and it should work in all Gecko-based browsers and IE 5.5+ on the PC, no matter what site it is on. Abulafia, you may have been looking at it while I was fiddling with the code, which might have resulted in it appearing not to work on certain sites. But what other sites did you test it on? Just here at paperlane?
It wasn’t working here at paperlane, or on a page I set up on my home box. Browser was Moz 1.1 Windows. Works on Moz 1.02 OS X.
Anyways, very cool, and an inspiration to client-side propellerheads everywhere.
Works on Moz 1.3 for windows, just a datapoint.
Looks like it’s finished now…
