Nothing GNE-related, but anyway. I’m holding a promotional over at Paper Tiger. The conditions are pretty simple:
If I double my hits, I will donate half of the money I have in my bank account to a local charity.
If I triple my hits I will donate three-quarters of my account to said charity (plus some nice never-worn-before clothes).
And finally, if I quadruple my hits I will donate every freaking cent in my account to a local charity, plus clothes and some nice stuffed toys!
So tell your friends, tell your enemies, tell strangers; it’s charity for GOD’s sake! You know, it would be nice if you did the same thing on your websites too…

Heh, Desi, lol. What’s your baseline # of hits? (How many did you get before the competition.)

There are better (more honorable) ways to publicize your website, too… check out “The Weblog Handbook” from your local library if you’re out of ideas.
