One of my friends (who lives in Seattle), sent me a link to this story: Camping For A House Of Their Own. It describes how affordable housing is so scarce in some areas near Seattle, that people who want to live there are forced to camp out at the local realty offices so that they can be the first to snatch anything that becomes available.
Does this sound familiar to anyone else? ;)
It sounds more familiar to me than you might think… I badly wanted to buy a house in that exact neighborhood, once.
