Made a GNE today and got to Level 12, and felt so free and airy, like a kind of end-of-term feeling. Went and cashed in my paper and dropped or gave away my other stuff, and carrying just my Corey doll went and stood in the Plaza, the place where I entered all those weeks ago.
It was noon UK time, quiet and peaceful. The leaves rustled on the paper tree, and the muffled sound of the organ coming from Our Lady’s mingled with the cries of the bingo players at the Center. I felt as if I would just dry up and blow away.
Then I went over to Consume, ordered the most expensive stuff on the menu and ate till I felt sick.

I feel you; I leveled up to Level 12 Tuesday then finally made my first GNE yesterday (just like you). It’s almost like a feeling of accomplishment; the “end of term” if you will.

It’s an interesting thing though; what -do- you do after you’ve finally reached Level 12 and made the GNE? Is it like “real life” where it all just seems to go “downhill” and you’re left watching others where you once were? If so, do the people that are Level 12 start acting like grandparents to the newbies and so forth and so on? And if not, what is it that the Level 12’s aspire to make?

Me? I’ll probably just end up wandering around GNE trying to help people, or perhaps take a break from it until it becomes more stable to play on my Mac’s Mozilla (I had to use a PC to play it up to Level 12). Or maybe I’m going to start making some seriously expensive artwork like some of the other players, play some flowtending, get addicted to Absinthe… but who really knows.

Getting to L12 is a stage. Making and winning the GNE is a stage. Now comes the fun part.

Be creative and come up with your own “fun” in the game. Artwork, trivia, games within game, etc are all such examples.

Just as in life, the GNE is what you make of it.

Things are changing in GNE every day. A place that you explored last week may have new features added to it this week. Your job is to explore this world, and add input, expose bugs.
The Level 12 is just there to let you understand certain concepts in game play - the true game is the journey.

Bhikku, that’s beautiful. You make it seem so 3-D.
