Opinion: PARP Rebuttal Letter

To The Editor & Editorial Staff at Ludus Perpetuus:

We wish to bring it to your readers attention, that far from being an official gne fanzine it is clear that the sole purpose of the site is to further the interests of the editorial team and its staff & supporters.

We refer of course, to the blatantly Anti-P4RP propaganda currently being propagated in this current re-launch to whit, out of four main featured articles no less than 50 percent are slanderous and libellous in content:

Eglantine: “… The first gang of vigilantes, organized by James Holloway and Traducer before the Wipe. This shady bunch…”
Desi: “…a renegade clan intent on destroying any present order…” & “….and full of casual sex….” also “…there are things that go wrong. Events such as PARP stealing Satan is Santa’s souls…are things we should really avoid in the Big Game….”

We are surprised and extremely disappointed at the general tone of the articles, indeed the more hot-headed of our number was talking of lawyers, libel-writs and fiscal compensation, suffice it to say that further distribution of material deleterious to P4RP’s reputation and that of individual members will be viewed with the upmost seriousness.

We [The supporters of parpish principles] wish the opportunity to rebutt the insults laid at our door, and will allow that, upon publishing this rebuttal article, we will not seek legal redress.

Firstly: The manifesto, when read, is actually a very utopian document and at no time is any anti-social activity encouraged.

Secondly: P4RP’s genesis was caused by the rampant corruption and insouciant disrespect of others by a small number of players in the 1st incarnation of gne who had assumed near super-human powers.

Thirdly: The ‘shady gang of vigilantes’ received almost universal support from ‘ordinary’ players who were also intimidated by the corruption.

Fourthly: The corruption is again manifesting itself in the purchase of souls from impoverished players, this is exploitation of the poor and a legitimate target for P4RPists. [Note that the souls were to be returned to their owners – under extreme emotional duress JH abandoned this course].

Fifthly: While casual sex is welcome, it is not a P4RP pledge.

Finally: ‘things to avoid ITRG’ is a clear signal to their supporters and a subconcious trigger for the unwary, that P4RP must be expunged, we P4Rpists will not permit this to occur.

In conclusion, we would like to warn the unwary, that the current editorial team have exposed their true intent to form a ‘Cabal of Evil’ slowly exerting influence and authority with the end-game of control of the media and the governments in mind.

Yours
