I would like to suggest that players make great use of the item information pop-up window to determine where things can be located, bought, and sold. This is extremely useful when attempting to make new items because by clicking the icon of the ingredients you can find where to get them. This has helped me considerably..
Advice from Grandpa:
1. Start exploring! Go into shops, click on trees. You get xp (Experience Points) when you visit new places.
2. Pick things up! You will see pick-upable things under the “What’s Here” header.
3. Ask questions! GNE players are happy to help
4. Make things! gather paper and make it into red paper. You can sell it in the Mony store in Civic Center.
That should be enough to get you started. Keep exploring, keep asking, keep making. And invent your own way to play!
